Graham Fitkin brings four unique musicians together to revel in the unremitting delight of ensemble piano playing. Unapologetically direct and joyous, Fitkin’s eight-handed works for two pianos are complemented by equally lucid more intimate solos and duos from Unsuk Chin, Morton Feldman, Anna Meredith and Steve Reich. A new Britten Pears Arts commission, ‘Bla Bla Bla’, for pianos, samplers and spoken voice delivers a gripping and provocative finale. The inaugural performance took place at Aldeburgh Festival on 16 June 2022 and we are touring in the autumn.
